Screening of Deja Vu – May 7, 5pm – Skirball Center for Performing Arts
  • Bonjour Mes Amis,

I reappear after a few months of editing.

The day has finally arrived for the first public screening of the Franco-American production Deja Vu, a film that you have all been part of in some way.

Deja Vu is a heartfelt story about young neuroscientist who goes back home to Paris to confront his estranged, ailing father and his childhood memories. Like father, like son, whether you like it or not. The film includes documentary home video footage and also fictionalized segments starring my parents and I. The film was shot thanks to an incredible crew in both Paris and New York over 10 days. This will be the opportunity to see the film on a the big screen before the film makes it way through the film festival circuit.

Deja Vu will be shown as part of the NYU graduate film MARATHON screening. A total of 38 amazing films will be screened over two days: Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8 from writer-directors from all over the world. In some way, shape or form, I have been involved with all of the films and I admire each of their for their singular point of view in visual storytelling.

The screening is FREE and will take place in the prestigious Skirball Center for Performing Arts. My film will be shown at 5pm on Saturday.

There will be a break around 6.15pm on Saturday before the next block so you can leave then or stay and see more films by my classmates if you’re interested.
