Portrait of a Scientist: A science-film series
The Portrait of a Scientist is an initiative launched in July 2007 in collaboration with ScienCentral, Inc (an online source of news about science and technology) with the objective to learn more about the lives of scientists in the tri-insitutional community — The Rockefeller University, Weill Cornell Medical School and Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSKK). Video portraits available online after screenings.
The Science and Media lectures will begin at The Rockefeller University in October 2007. They will include a variety of speakers from science TV producers to filmmakers. Speakers will talk about the portrayal of science in the media and also about their personal experience at the intersection of science and the media. Audio podcasts available after lecture.
